The Reach is here to build stronger, more resilient families by providing the hope and tools needed to navigate life's challenges and reduce the risk of involvement with the juvenile justice system. Through screenings and personalized connections to community resources, we walk alongside families, offering customized support that meets them where they are - at no cost to the family. Additionally, we are a drop-in center for youth and offer youth programming.
What We Do
From youth programming to service navigation, we are here to help Logan County youth and families navigate life’s challenges:
Due to our initial grant funding requirements, the youth on our caseload must be Logan County youth ages 8-18.
Participation in The Reach, including a case plan, is entirely voluntary and free! Families may choose to withdraw from services at any point during the process. For families referred to The Reach via Community Referral or Resource Navigation, there are no consequences for discontinuing services. Although there are no consequences, The Reach encourages families to complete the process and follow their case plan, as the greatest benefit comes from engaging fully with the available resources and support. For families participating in Community Diversion, there may be consequences for discontinuing services; please refer to your specific diversion terms or ask a Resource Navigator for more information.

Referrals
Submit Referral
We accept referrals for any youth aged 8-18 and live in Logan County, Ohio. Anyone can refer a youth - including themselves, parent/guardian, family, friend, school, law enforcement, etc. To send us a referral, please fill out the referral form.

How Referrals Work
After we receive the referral, we will contact you to start the intake process. First, you will complete intake forms and attend an intake appointment with one of our Resource Navigators. During the intake appointment, you will receive an individualized plan tailored to your youth and family strengths and needs. Our staff will recommend personalized services and resources, explaining how they align with the family’s identified needs and goals, and will help you connect to the services and implement the case plan.
If a mental health referral is recommended, the Resource Navigator will provide information on available options in Logan County, empowering the family to choose the best fit for their needs. Once a provider is selected, the family will be responsible for scheduling appointments and completing intake procedures. Resource Navigators will maintain communication with the family and counseling agency to ensure the family remains engaged and follows their therapy plan. We DO NOT ask for specific details or disclosures made in counseling sessions, and communication between the agency and Resource Navigator remains on a compliance and recommendation exchange. Simply put, we just want to ensure that you have connected with the service and that the service has started working.
Our case plans are typically 60 to 90 days, providing sufficient time to connect to services and experience results. Staff will check in with each family at 7 days, 30 days, and 60 days. If any concerns arise or any adjustments to the plans and services are needed, our Resource Navigators are here to assist and guide the way - before, during, and after a case plan.

Meet the Team

Stacy McLaughlin
Resource Navigator 1 Stacy began her journey working with youth as a preschool teacher and supervisor, where she discovered her passion for supporting children and families. Her heart for helping others led her into the nonprofit world, where she served as a Service Coordinator with Logan County Family & Children First Council. There, she gained a deep appreciation for the local network of resources and the incredible people behind them. A proud Logan County native, Stacy is committed to uplifting her community and empowering its youth. Outside of work, you can find her practicing self-care by sewing clothes for her daughter, going on park hops with her family, and rocking out to heavy metal music. |

Mikaela Mohr
Resource Navigator 2 Mikaela grew up in Columbus, Ohio, and spent much of her youth outside while participating in Girl Scouts and volunteering as a camp counselor. After college, she returned to her hometown and spent five years at the Franklin County Soil and Water Conservation District, doing community outreach and programming for adults and families. Wanting to get out of the big city, she moved to Lakeview in 2022 with her husband. After the Indian Lake tornado, she felt called to make a career change and serve her new hometown, ultimately landing at The Reach. In her free time, you can find her boating and jet skiing with her husband and daughter, taking lots of nature photos with her camera, or dabbling in home improvement projects. |
